THE CHALLENGE

The journey towards complete digital transformation

As a main player in the industry, Homes Stay has just begun the digital transformation of its property. With spaces located across Seoul, at 3 different locations, Homes Stay needs documentation of its facility and amenities to ensure optimal and quality marketing and distribution of information.

It is difficult to show a realistic view of every area, including nooks and corners of rooms in just 2D images. If a picture is shot for every wall to wall area, there will be a requirement of hundreds of images which are difficult to view and understand the real depth and perception of a space.

BEFORE BEAMO IMPLEMENTATION

The management has been marketing the facility using the following traditional methods:

  • Using 2D images of rooms on the website.
  • Existing still photos of the buildings.
  • Having potential clients travel to the location to check the amenities for events.
  • Directly sending existing long duration videos to customers or not having enough data to share/show customers if needed.
  • Mentioning amenities with one image and text on the website.

A faster and immersive way to market their spaces

Beamo came into the picture when a 3D digital tour of the facility was required. Beamo makes digital twins for facilities 10x faster than other solutions in the market. On one of their premises (Suwon), Homes Stay and Beamo created a digital twin to enhance visual communication and boost marketing performance.

Amplifying collaboration with various stakeholders and customers by sharing the same perspective of the space through an intuitive 3D view that enables an immersive experience and accelerates and systemises the workflow and documentation.

AFTER BEAMO IMPLEMENTATION
  • Planning: Easily search through data and documents from previous on-site surveys. Examine all building-related documents in one place and prepare inspection methods and routes on a bidirectional floor plan.

  • Capture: Use only a connected smartphone and 360° camera through the Beamo app to easily traverse and navigate through the building.

  • Tagging: Utilize the tagging feature in the Beamo App to attach photos, images, videos, memos, etc. The data is automatically uploaded to the Beamo web platform.
RESULTS

Integration of Beamo’s 360-Degree View

Beamo provided a solution to integrate a 360-degree view into HomesStay's platform. A 360 camera and the Beamo app were launched to capture the interior of the facility and quickly generate a 360 view. Because Beamo works by stitching captured photos to build a 360 view, it was able to quickly capture even large amenity spaces. Beamo's 3D Viewer will be embedded into HomesStay's website so that users can check the views of the entire facility with one click.

Enhanced Marketing Efficiency through Integration of 360 view Information is now implemented.

With 3D views, HomesStay's customers are able to quickly look at all the rooms and amenities in the facility, get a better understanding and immersive experience to base a booking decision. Potential customers can view the website and get a prospective insight and grasp of the entire space without having to visit the site. Thanks to 360 views, workers and managers have fewer communication issues and marketing efforts when dealing with clients.

The Digital twin also aims at helping HomesStay with asset management and in-built tags, along with easy training of the staff members,, as the technology provides an immersive training platform to explore and interact with sites and makes it easier to onboard new members and familiarize employees through virtual training so they can handle and respond to various situations.
