Pitch all you can at VivaTech
Beamo had the other honor of joining partner Orange at the VivaTech 2022 in Paris, together with the five other tech startups who won Orange’s Data-AI challenge earlier this year.
From the 15th to the 18th of June in Paris, Porte des Expo de Versailles, it was a pitch-all-you-can buffet to the endless crowd of tech-seekers. And Digital Twins were on the menu this year at VivaTech, as a “plat de résistance”. Beamo had the honor to partner with Orange and showcase its technology and was blessed with great conversations, non-stop activities, and… intimate interviews.
Interview with Naresh Parshotam, head of Beamo, talking about startups, family, and Beamo's partnership with Orange
For Antoine Gronier, Senior Marketing Manager and Country Head for Beamo, the way potential clients come up with new ideas on how to revolutionize the way they work is inspiring.
“We love the products we make and think that we know a thing or two about our industry. This is until we meet with groundbreaking customers, the ones that can understand and adopt the digital twin concept and extract all its potential to augment the way their work is done today. At the same time, across industries, we understand how all their challenges are similar and how such a simple solution can make a difference.”

Creative digital twin use cases
VivaTech’s stimulating atmosphere invited discourse and got everyone’s creative juices flowing. Amidst the nonstop pitching came the birth of new ideas and use cases for digital twins.
- Retail - In the Retail industry, particularly fashion, the layout of shops plays a significant role in influencing shopping behavior and keeping in line with the brand. Fast fashion brands, like Zara, add new products every two weeks and change their inventory completely every 4 to 6 weeks. The arrangement of styles and outfits needs to be streamlined across thousands of stores worldwide. Creating a digital twin will help speed up and smoothen that workflow instead of sharing thousands of pictures or videos.
- Security - At any kind of facility, security management is always a necessity. The larger the facility, the harder it is to monitor. Technology has brought about the advent of CCTVs and alarm systems. Elevate that further with a digital twin, automated robot patrols, and contextualized alert tags. Security personnel can monitor everything from a control room and easily assess situations visually by understanding the location and nature of warnings or alerts on the facility’s digital floor plan. This can help them prepare for how to deal with issues.
- Transportation - The Paris Metro is 227 km long, with 308 stations, and most of it is underground. Right now there is hardly any visibility in these tunnels. Visualizing this intricate network in a 360° digital twin can offer a fast and easy way to do routine inspections and maintenance. The same use case can apply to domestic and international rail transport systems.
- Utility - Electricity, gas, and water companies are essential actors in our daily lives. As such, their supply networks run through our cities and countryside as an invisible web. Beamo helps bring visibility by capturing large portions of these networks (indoor and outdoor installations, technical rooms,...) so that all documentation, IoT sensors data, and valuable information can be contextualized at all times.
Fast and easy takes the crown
One thing that impressed the visitors was Beamo’s DIY setup where anyone can create digital twins without requiring expert personnel. Beamo makes digital twins 10x faster than other solutions in the market.
Beamo’s onboarding process guarantees users are able to start capturing their sites and facilities right away, armed with only a 360° camera and a smartphone. Beamo’s Starter Kit elevates this workflow even further by streamlining the capturing process.
Didn’t get a chance to see Beamo at VivaTech? No problem! Reach out to us directly. We’d love to show you a demo of our digital twin solution and discuss how your facilities can benefit from Beamo.
