3i Inc., a hardware and solution technology company related to 3D spatial information, announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with OpsNow, a company specializing in multi-cloud management platforms, to expand the digital twin ecosystem. The agreement focuses on combining digital twins and IoT technologies to maximize the productivity and efficiency of smart factories.
With the signing of this business agreement, the two companies will connect OpsNow’s all-in-one IoT solution ‘IoTOps’ and 3i’s digital twin solution ‘Beamo’. This will enable users to collect, analyze, and visualize vast amounts of data from various industrial sites such as smart factories, enabling them to view visualized data in a 360-degree digital twin environment in real time.
Through the digital twin environment provided by IoTOps and Beamo, the two companies plan to help workers quickly determine the condition of factory equipment, the quality of products, the likelihood of safety incidents, and replacement cycles to significantly improve productivity. To accomplish this, OpsNow and 3i will collaborate on various aspects, including interface and API development, as well as marketing and sales.
OpsNow’s IoTOps is an IoT-specific all-in-one solution that provides collection, processing, and storage of large amounts of data generated by IoT devices, as well as customized analysis using AI/ML technology. All data from an organization's numerous IoT devices can be easily aggregated and analyzed on a single platform, regardless of device manufacturer. As a SaaS-based solution, it is easy to expand the system for data collection, storage, and processing, and it is easy to build, operate, and utilize without coding knowledge.
3i offers its own digital twin solution, Beamo, which allows users to quickly and easily capture industrial sites and create 360-degree views with just three pieces of equipment: a camera, smartphone, and tripod. It is being used in various industrial sites including smart factories because it can be quickly introduced to industrial sites at a reasonable cost without utilizing expensive equipment such as 3D scanners and supports integration with IoT sensors.
Kim Ken, CEO of 3i, said, "Through this collaboration with OpsNow, we will be able to integrate and implement information collected from various IoT devices in the industrial field into our digital twin platform 'Beamo'. It is expected to maximize the advantages of both companies' solutions and revitalize the domestic digital twin industry."
Lee Han-joo, CEO of OpsNow, said, “We are confident that the convergence of IoTOps, an IoT all-in-one solution, and Beamo, a leading digital twin solution, will enable optimization of production processes, improved accuracy of predictive maintenance, and increased operational efficiency. Opsnow will continue to collaborate with leading innovative technology companies to lead digital transformation in various industries, including smart factories."
